Luminary Member Spotlight: Precious Williams, Founder & CEO of Perfect Pitches by Precious

Precious 2

How did you discover Luminary?

 My friend, Yai Vargas

What is your current career path/business journey?

I am the CEO of Perfect Pitches by Precious, LLC where I teach women entrepreneurs and speakers the art and science of the "killer" elevator, media, investor and speaker pitch. I also am a communication skills coach and international professional speaker and corporate trainer.

What steps did you take to lead you to your current career path/business journey? *

I started my first company when I had -$400 in my bank account. I needed to win pitch competitions to get the name of my business out there and so I won 13 elevator pitch competitions in a row and over $150k. Many women wanted to know how I was able to win and have that kind of confidence on stage even though I was 327 pounds. Perfect Pitches was born to help them succeed!

What is the most challenging and/or rewarding aspect of your career?

The most rewarding aspect of my career is watching my clients soar and get top media interest, investor dollars and the clients they actually want! The most challenging is time management since I am a full time international professional speaker, teacher and trainer too!

How are you inviting others to take a seat at the table?

I invite others by being warm, welcoming and inclusive. I come from poverty and so to be where I am, I know that others opened up their tables to me and so I pay it forward EVERYDAY! I am not too good or proud. I love women and want them at my table!

What impact has Luminary made in your career? eg: Business Generated, Revenue, New Clients, Career Connections, Advancement Opportunities

The Luminary has given me opportunities no one else has. Speaking opportunities, being in the room with heavy hitters and they accept and embrace me, and I get to meet with my clients and prospect in the most beautiful space. Not only that, I have had my own events at Luminary that have sold out! Where else can you get this type of love and support?

Who is your Luminary and why?

Chelsea Williams, a young woman with spunk and fire who introduced herself to me last week and now we are working together. She saw and heard me and gave herself permission to have audacity. I like young women like her who seize opportunities and make dope shit happen!
