Tell us a bit about yourself! How did you get started with your current career path/business journey?
After a 14-year career at Johnson & Johnson, I left to co-found DIG Labs, a pet tech company, after noticing the gaps between human and pet healthcare. I've been at it for 2 years, and have learned and grown so much on this journey.
What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?
What’s a mistake you made early on in your career, or in your business, and what did you learn from it?
Fear of vulnerability. I was so afraid to figure out every detail that I wasted valuable in-market learning time.
What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
Decisiveness. I prefer surrounding myself with experts who can make decisions based on their expertise. The reality is, in startup world with a lean team, I am often the "best available" and I need to make decisions with little or no information.
How do you invite others to take a seat at the table?
I lead with influence. I love understanding what someone is trying to achieve personally or professionally, and crafting a space for them that suits their goals.
What is one thing you wish you knew a year ago?
I wish I knew that as a company gets bigger, so do the challenges. It would have helped me enjoy the journey a bit more.

Luminary has given me a home base to conduct business in NY. As a health tech company with physical products, we do not manufacture in NY, and it's been critical to be able to host meetings in NY with business partners, investors, and my team!
