WELCOME TO THE LUMINARY FAMILY!

Luminary announced the acquisition of HeyMama, the nation's largest and fastest growing digital membership-based community of entrepreneurial and working moms. Luminary is acquiring the brand, its assets, and the operational continuity of its current members, and will rebrand as Luminary effective immediately.

Co-Founder and Chief Community Officer Amri Kibbler will step down from her position as Chief Community Officer and will remain on as an advisor through the transition. CEO Erika Hanafin, will step down from her position, remain on as an advisor through the transition, and join the Luminary Advisory Board. We want to ensure a smooth transition and keep you informed every step of the way, so we’re hosting our Luminay Town Hall + a HeyMama Corking Day on Thursday, January 16th with Amri Kibbler, Co-Founder and Erika Hanafin, CEO of HeyMama along with Cate Luzio, Founder and CEO of Luminary.

What happens to my current HeyMama membership?

Your current HeyMama membership will transition to a Luminary Digital Membership, and will renew at the current HeyMama ($464/yearly and $46/monthly) pricing through 2025.

Can I upgrade to a different Luminary Membership tier?

Yes! If you’re a current Member of HeyMama, you can upgrade to any level of Luminary Memberships. Use code LumiMama15 for 15% off your new membership pricing. If you’ve already paid for an annual HeyMama membership and want to upgrade, please email us at heymama@weareluminary.com so we can make sure your previous payment is applied to the new membership. 
If you are a monthly member, you can use this link to upgrade! 

Will I still have access to the HeyMama member portal and the content within it?

Yes! If you’re a current Member of HeyMama you will continue to have access to the member portal and all of the content. We will provide adequate notice when the HeyMama member portal will be turned off. 

I am an active member of both HeyMama and Luminary communities. How are my memberships impacted?

Currently there are no changes expected. You will continue to have the same level of access for both communities. We are working on next steps and will be in touch with more information by the end of January.

Am I able to now use the Luminary space in NYC as a HeyMama Member?

As a Luminary Digital Member you can use the Luminary NYC space with a discounted day pass rate of $20. You can also upgrade your membership to a tier that includes space access. As a HeyMama member you are entitled to a 15% discount on your membership upgrade.

Will there be new features/services available to me, given the acquisition by Luminary?

You will now have access to everything Luminary has to offer. This includes:

The Link: Luminary’s member portal that expands your network to over 3,000 active daily users across the globe.
Events: Over 20 virtual events per month produced by Luminary. 
Join a Luminary Cru:  A small accountability cohort of strategically-matched individuals, facilitated by an expert guide (think of them as an executive coach), who meet and peer coach each other in monthly gatherings of up to 90 minutes for 6 months.
Host a Program: 70% of our programming is Member Led! As a Luminary member you can host Member-Led Workshops, Professional Networking and Community-Building Events or Community Conversations on Current Events up to six (6) times per year depending on Membership Tier. 
Luminary’s Digital Library: Access to over 1,000 hours of content and learning. You’ll never have to miss an event again! You will have access to recorded versions of almost all of our programming and summits. 
Job Board: Post a Job, Find Contacts or Leads, or Projects. 
Opportunity to attend In person events at Luminary’s gorgeous space in New York City and in other cities around the country including Luminary LIVE, Member Meetups and more.

I am not familiar with Luminary, what do they do?

Launched in late 2018, Luminary is a global, membership-based professional growth platform that accelerates women and allies in their professional and personal development through expert-led programming, leadership training, networking, and a dynamic and diverse community of thousands of members globally. 

Luminary’s newsletter is published weekly on Tuesdays so you’ll begin to receive more information on their events and programs, how to maximize your membership and more.

I already paid for my annual renewal, can that be applied to a new Luminary Membership?

Yes! If you’ve already paid for an annual HeyMama membership and want to upgrade please email us at heymama@weareluminary.com so we can make sure your previous payment is applied to the new membership.

I canceled my HeyMama Membership can I rejoin?

What events do you recommend to begin engaging with the Luminary community?

Luminary hosts many events per month with a focus on our ABCD’s ( Advance, Build, Connect and Develop ). The full events listing can be found in your member portal and on our main website. Once you have determined the tract you are interested in it is easy to register and connect with like minded members.

What is a member program?

Member programming is an exclusive perk to Luminary members with Digital Annual, Digital Plus Annual, Nomad Annual, Collective/Collective Plus membership tiers. This is programming for the community by the community. Examples of member programming include workshops, networking events, and community conversations. Sales pitches, panels or parties do not fall under member programming.

Can I host a member program?

Member programming is an exclusive perk to certain membership tiers. As Digital Annual members you are able to host member programming for the community at large. There are some guidelines. We ask that you take a look at the Luminary Member Programming FAQ first. Once you have done that feel free to reach out with your idea and we would be happy to get the process started. Note as new members we strongly encourage you to join as much programming as you can  as an attendee before looking to host your own.

How do I get in contact with the events team?

Can I cancel my HeyMama Membership before renewal?

We would be sad to see you leave, please let us know if there is anything we can do! Yes, you can still cancel, it will follow the same process as current HeyMama members with the $75 cancel fee. Please reach out to heymama@weareluminary.com.
