How To Crush Limiting Beliefs That May Be Holding You Back

The subconscious mind is an aggregate of everything perceived in one's lifetime, which is a lot. Your subconscious mind speaks to you even when you don't talk back. And how a woman speaks to herself can transform her life.

Scientists have found that only 5% of what you do, think, and feel comes from the conscious mind. Everything else happens because of the subconscious mind. So, if your subconscious isn't in check, you aren't.

LuminaryWhen speaking about limiting beliefs, one is talking about psychology. Crushing your limiting beliefs isn't a matter of being the best business owner; it's about tending to yourself. As you move forward in your career, you must enter every room with your self-love and self-compassion intact. Work and business lives are tricky and riddled with opportunities for doubt and confusion. If you have areas that can be picked apart, you are vulnerable to defeat.

And so, it is imperative to maintain a healthy dialogue with oneself. Otherwise, you can hold yourself back. Tell yourself, "I can and I will." But, understand that change doesn't just happen when you flip the voice. Positive Scripts creator Kiara Perkins notes that you don't become abundant just because you say, "I'm abundant." You must make yourself "soil." Transform yourself, so you are fertile for growth.

So, how do you make yourself generative? Here are four practical ways to crush limiting beliefs permanently:

1. Meditation and Yoga

If your inner voice says things like, "You aren't good enough," "you'll never make enough money," or "you're just not cut out for this," it's likely that self-consciousness also wreaks havoc on your muscles, tendons, and even organs. Everything that you believe is stored in your body. As the book by Bessel van der Kolk states, The Body Keeps the Score. And when the mind and body are full of limiting beliefs, you will be trapped in a vicious cycle. So, to cleanse the badness and let in goodness, it is highly recommended that you practice mindfulness through yoga and meditation. Centering oneself in their own body and mind is a great way to begin healing one's self-talk.

2. EFT

EFT, or Emotional Freedom Technique, is a method that reduces stress in the body and, by extension, the mind. The process is relatively simple; it involves tapping acupuncture points throughout the face and body. Just as yoga grounds you in your body, EFT eases and refocuses the nervous system, readying your mind for positive growth and abundance.

3. NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)

It would be impossible to explain the many NLP techniques in one blog. But in brief, NLP is an approach to communication, psychotherapy, and personal development. NLP asserts a correlation between neurological processes, language, and patterns of human behavior. In short, the way one thinks and speaks can determine their actions. NLP techniques work to rewire your belief system so you can achieve your goals. An example of an NLP technique is changing any negative self-talk from present tense to past tense. This framing will trick your body and brain into feeling that limiting belief is a thing that has come and gone, allowing you to move past it.

4. Therapy

The best tool in this world is the ability to know oneself. When you know yourself, you can better tend and serve yourself. And the best way to know yourself is to sit with a professional and talk about yourself. The first step in fixing anything in your career is to heal yourself. Take care of yourself, and you will flourish.
