Tell us a bit about yourself! How did you get started with your current career path/business journey?

It began with a vision to be a leader in my industry and to be influential so that I could implement change throughout an organization. Oftentimes. Women are either over-looked for opportunities, paid less, or if you’re a woman of color, discriminated against. On an organization level, I want to be that voice and partner with companies to create sustainable change for equity across the board, specifically for female employees. On a community level, I want to create experience for women to commune, feel celebrated, uplifted and heard through events and workshops for personal and professional development. It's time we even the playing field.

I observed through my own professional experience and vicariously through networking that women often feel pushed to the side, which is why in my 9-5 career I’m working towards pivoting into the HR space to change that and to fully comprehend the inner workings of an organization. As of now, I a creating content and writing articles that pinpoint areas of strife such as the state of mental health for women in the workplace, and the idea that it’s time for women to be #selfish when it comes to how they prioritize their own time and energy. Why not invest back into yourself? Why not take a moment to decompress during your work week?

Ultimately, in my career, business and life’s work, I am creating a space for women by women. Women deserve to have a voice in any room they enter and to have experiences that cater to their healing and growth. #BeSelfish

How are you overcoming challenges during the pandemic as a business owner?

I have been going towards what I know best, technology! We have this gift of being able to connect with people virtually, and as a content creator, this digital space is my bread and butter. As we speak, I am creating more content to grow my social media and to create a virtual living room for my audience.

What does your day to day schedule look like working from home?

So I have one essential job working at a domestic violence shelter, and a side hustle that is blossoming into a business. Throughout the week I am working on the side hustle, and I work from Thursday-Monday at the DV Shelter. A normal week, is personal errands mixed with hourly blocks of pure content creation & business strategy.

In what ways are you taking care of your personal well being and what are your #selfcare tips?

For me, it's about patience during the process as I move towards my goals, i have been practicing that and also focusing on my breath throughout the day.

How are you inviting others to take a seat at the table #virtually?

I am asking my audience what they need right now, and creating engaging and uplifting content.
