Tell us a bit about yourself! How did you get started with your current career path/business journey?
I am an entrepreneur through and through and spent the first 12 years of my business providing acupuncture in Central and Eastern Europe. During that time, even though I loved my job, I experienced burnout that stopped me from being able to live/enjoy my life abroad. My recovery took two years and now, my main mission in life is to #endburnoutculture!
What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to and why?
What’s a mistake you made early on in your career, or in your business, and what did you learn from it?
I didn't hire a receptionist when I was overflowing with patients. I didn't realize at the time that more help would increase my income. I only saw the help as a cost and it stopped me from getting the support I truly needed to grow in a sustainable way.
What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?
How do you invite others to a seat at your table?
I love Glennon Doyle's idea of standing in horseshoes rather than closed circles, so I make an effort to do that whenever I am in a group of people - it's so much easier to approach a group when there is an open slot waiting!
What is one thing that you wish you learned a year ago?
People will actually pay you well to speak and you're really good at it. Toot your own horn, you've got this.
